BromleyIBC Junior Section
The Club is delighted to report that it has recently hosted a number of 'Get to Know Bowls' sessions for local primary school youngsters.

These well-attended sessions have been very successful, and positive feedback has been received from parents and teachers.

We are hoping that this may be the start of fruitful cooperation between BIBC and local schools in getting more kids taking up the game.

Special thanks to Giles Platt, the Borough School Sports Coordinator based at Priory School - see his message below.

Subject: BIG Thanks!

Ian & Lawrie,

Really delighted with the support that the club has provided during the past couple of days with both the festival and SSCo Inset. We're all extremely grateful for the opportunity that you have given us to develop an appreciation of a new sport.

I've contacted all SCCos this afternoon to provide them of Bromley region club list as well as notes from Highfield Junior. I've also contacted Juliet from Highfield to express thanks for the hand-out.

Further to that,I've redone the club poster for Saturday mornings and circulated the publicity around my twelve schools via e-mail.

What I truly hope is that we can continue to provide and strengthen opportunity between both the club and schools.

I'll be interested to see if you recruit additional numbers from schools for Saturday morning club - do you keep a register of children attending and which schools they come from?

Will speak again v.soon.
Cheers,
Giles
